Tamper-Evident Calibration Seals for Test & Measurement Equipment

Gauges, meters, and scales that are periodically calibrated need a way to show whether they've been opened or adjusted since that last calibration. A tamper-evident calibration seal placed over an access panel or adjustment screw gives an immediate, visible signal if the instrument has been tampered with — protecting both the accuracy of the reading and the record of when it was last verified.

TamperColor® Security Color Labels

Intertronix's TamperColor® Security Color Labels are available in over 10 colors, making them well suited to calibration programs that use color-coding to track inspection intervals, departments, or equipment lines at a glance. Like all Intertronix tamper-evident labels, TamperColor reveals a permanent VOID pattern on both the label and the surface beneath if removal is attempted. Labels are available blank or custom printed with sequential serial numbers, logos, and 1D/2D barcodes for integration with calibration tracking systems, in sizes from 0.5" diameter up to 2.75" x 1", starting at quantities of 250.

Why It Matters

Once a calibration seal is broken, it can't be pressed back into place or reprinted to look untouched — the VOID pattern is permanent on both the label and the surface underneath. That makes it a reliable way to confirm an instrument hasn't been opened or adjusted since it was last calibrated, without needing to check a separate log. Assigning a color to a calibration date or interval adds a second layer: technicians can spot an overdue or tampered instrument visually, at a glance.
